Sculpture Woods

Susan Chase is an artist/educator living in Brooksville, ME.  She completed her MFA in sculpture at University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and her BS in studio art from University Without Walls at Skidmore College.  She taught for many years at Cape Cod Academy in Osterville, MA, and has conducted workshops and classes in the Blue Hill area that include large site-specific sculpture installations and mural projects at local schools.  Most of her work is in stabilized adobe, a ferrocement-like process that is conducive to large outdoor sculpture.  She has exhibited throughout the Northeast.  Her work can be seen in the sculpture gardens at Turtle Gallery on Deer Isle ME; and is in collections throughout the United States and Europe.

She has recently opened her Sculpture Woods where one will find pieces dating from the late 80’s to the present in a beautiful woods and seaside cove setting.  The public is invited to stroll through the Sculpture Woods by appointment.
